Best Places to Visit in Peru
Peru is a very historical and cultural place because of the Inca culture which is known all over the world. And because of the Inca people, great archaeological finds have been discovered and the structures that they built have left the people of today wondering – how did the Inca people make such amazing places? It is not just a bit interesting; it is a whole lot of amazing wonder because a civilization without technology and present day raw materials have created such attractions by using their bare hands. Aside from Inca, there are other beautiful and natural spots too. Anyway, if you are wondering what I’m talking about, here is Wanderlust15’s list of attractions in a Peru travel guide, concise and complete.
Pikillaqta is an archaeological ruin of the Wari culture in the Quispicanchi Province and it is one of the places to visit in Peru. It used to be the village of the Wari folks back in 500-1200 AD. Wari used to be a city back in the day and it was located in the area. They used the place for religious ceremonies and a big fire happened in the old city which made the settlers abandon it in the 13th century. It was discovered sometime in 1927 by Luis Valcarcel and today, it is a tourist attraction of the country.
