Top Places to Visit in Guadeloupe
Guadeloupe is such a small island in the Caribbean that you may overlook it and say “Guade-what? Where is that?” Well, Guadeloupe is part of the Lesser Antilles together with Puerto Rico, Curacao, Aruba, Martinique and more. But it has the most tourist landmarks than any other island in the Caribbean of the same size. Give Guadeloupe a chance and visit these fifteen attractions stated in the Guadeloupe travel guide of Wanderlust15.
15. Memorial ACTe
If you are wondering which places to visit in Guadeloupe, then, start with the Memorial ACTe or the Caribbean Centre of Expressions and Trafficking Memory and Slavery (to translate in English). It is like a museum and a memorial rolled into one about black slavery. The project was pushed by Victorin Lurel who used to be a Deputy of Guadeloupe and the President of Regional Council of Guadeloupe. The memorial is located at Pointe-à-Pitre.
