15. My Son
My Son is an area with many Buddhist temple ruins some of which were erected as early as 300 AD. The “youngest” temple ruins in My Son are from the 14th century and all of it was used to honor the Buddhist god named Shiva. Because of its ancient importance, the area was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It was inscribed as My Son Sanctuary in 1999 with criteria of ii and iii.
