One of the things to do in Iran is to visit Bisotun. Bisotun is located in Kermanshah Province and it is a small town at the foot of the Bisotun Mountain. UNESCO recognized it as a World Heritage Site because of its universal value. The archaeological site was acknowledged because of its inscriptions – it had an engraving of Darius, the Great, among others and Old Persian scripts about the victories of Darius. It’s been there since 521 BC. UNESCO gave it an ii and ii criteria and it was included in the list last 2006.
